Bodegas Campante is a family winery, founded 70 years ago and so is one of the pioneers of modern Ribeiro wines. They are focused on Treixadura, the star grape of the region, and their vineyards include some very old parcels of this variety. The winemaker behind the wines is Pablo Estevez who is one of the leading winemakers not just of Ribeiro but of Galicia: he has several times been awarded as the Best Winemaker in Spain for Young Wines and is behind some of the most successful whites of the region. ‘Adeus’ (Goodbye) is the title of a Galician poem by one of the most famous poets of the region, Rosalia de Castro so the wine itself is a homage to its local culture and roots.
A blend of Treixadura and Torrontés, its packed with lime and ripe peach accompanied by hints of dry herbs. On the palate it’s refreshing and bright with hallmark Treixadura ripe pineapple. An excellent pair to grilled octopus or monkfish.
