Ribeiro is the oldest wine appellation in Galicia. It sits in the province of Ourense, in northwest Spain. The region of Ribeiro has been producing amazing white wines since the Middle Ages and whites count for 95% of their production today. Thanks to the valleys created due to Miño, Arnoia, and Avia rivers and the moderating Atlantic Ocean on the doorstep, this region, some 40km from the Portuguese border, certainly rivals Rias Baixas in all but price.
Campante Winery belongs to the Reboreda Morgadio Group, so we already knew their quality and the wine certainly doesn’t disappoint.
