A few hours south of Lima sits the Ica Valley, the heart of Peruvian viticulture where the combination of a hot, dry climate, cooling sea breezes and high altitudes allow for excellent quality grapes to be grown for winemaking. One of the reasons Peruvian wine struggles to reach globally is its competition with Pisco which is in increasingly high demand.
Fortunately, our producers at Tacama make both in equal measure and quality. They also boast the spot of the oldest winery in South America.
