One of Australia’s oldest wine regions, the Barossa is synonymous with fine wine. 60 kilometres northeast of Adelaide city centre, the valley is formed by the North Para River. With some of the oldest vines of shiraz, Barossa is a big, juicy red-lovers paradise. This region has warm grape-growing areas on the valley floor and cooler meso-climates at higher altitudes in the surrounding hills to offer the full spectrum.
Tscharke is our Barossa champion with vineyards on the soils of the Western Ridge, some of the oldest in the Barossa.
