Don PX Gran Reserva 1987 wins best fortified wine at Mundus Vini 2016
Toro Albala are delighted to announce that the most recent vintage of their flagship wine, Don PX Gran Reserva, has been awarded the accolade of Grand Gold at Mundus Vini.
The competition, which took place early September in Neustadt, Germany, saw some 4,300 wines assessed blind by 150 international experts from 38 countries and awarded 22 Grand Gold medals of which Don PX Gran Reserva 1987 was a recipient.
Grand Gold winners in their respective categories secure the opportunity to win the ultimate prize of Best in Show and Toro Albala are proud to have secured such recognition in the category of fortified wines.
Don PX Gran Reserva 1987 impressed the judging panel with its harmonious aromas and flavours of caramel, orange peel, spices and lush dried fruit, as well as, genuineness, intensity and persistence.
